User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.11; rv:59.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/59.0 Build ID: 20180323154952 Steps to reproduce: Mac OS, Thunderbird 52.7.0 (and all previoius versions) **see below Thunderbird is set NOT to fetch/show remote content. Open any email that is marked as junk. The message "Thunderbird thinks this message is junk mail" is shown at the top. Click "Not Junk" - nothing happens Click the x to dismiss the message - the message disappears _____ ** In this bug report versions offered in the drop-down do not match the version displayed in "about Thunderbird" - confusing to people who are not deeply involved in the development of Thunderbird. I have chosen what seems to be the latest version, but who knows? Actual results: Option to fetch/show remote content does not appear Expected results: Either: 1/ Both messages should show up (one under the other, in this order: "Thunderbird thinks this is junk" AND "Thunderbird has blocked remote content") or 2/ After clicking "not junk" the "remote content" message should appear.

Do you also see this issue when using versoin 68?

Eckard can you reproduce on Mac?

Flags: needinfo?(de.berberich)

I just deleted all my junk messages. Will have to wait a couple of days until my TB junk filter detécts new spam.

Flags: needinfo?(de.berberich)

In the meantime I received a genuine junk mail which has been detected as such by the TB junk filter and automatically moved in the account "Junk" folder. Trying to reproduce the reporter's issue I clicked "Not Junk" and immediately this message was moved to the account "Inbox" folder where I could have displayed the remote content via the "Preferences" button. Of course I did not display the remote content of this spam message since I never do so, but I marked the message again as junk.
So either I did not understand the reporter's steps to reproduce or I can't reproduce his issue.
