User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; Win64; x64; rv:59.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/59.0 Build ID: 20180323154952 Steps to reproduce: I replied to an e-mail. Actual results: At moments that seem random, but which in fact appear to be related to a kind of contamination of the composition font by the font of the e-mail to which one is replying, the font in which one is typing changes. This occurs despite the fact that I have my composition and display font set to the same font (namely, Consolas; but I have experienced the problem with other fonts too). I filed a bug of this nature before (and there are, or were, similar reports on the bug tracker). My previous report appears to have been closed. I am astounded that a mature e-mail program that has been around for years cannot get this elementary, essential matter right - and does not take it more seriously. Nor can I discover a means to in any way fix or prevent the problem. Expected results: The font should not change when the user does not want it to. If that *does* happen, it should be easily reversible. I have an e-mail signature that apologises for Thunderbird's formatting. I should not have to have such a signature. (Still, I do get this software for free; so, if you are happy with the program being below an acceptable standard then I suppose that that is up to you.)
You keep reporting the same thing over and over and over and over and over :-( Which previous report are you referring to? Bug 1349025 or bug 1374058 or bug 1416309 or bug 1424329? We understand that you are annoyed by the issue but you fail to understand the underlying implementation that has as consequence that the font is sometimes not as well maintained at it could be. I'm using Thunderbird myself and with a bit of care, the font behaviour is actually quite acceptable. Maybe you should check your workflow. Please refrain from further insults since they don't get us any further. Also please study the Bugzilla etiquette: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/page.cgi?id=etiquette.html, especially point 2. Since you mention a problem in a reply, I'm closing this as duplicate.
