Build: 0.2.7 Platform: OS X 10.1.4 Expected Results: Caret in text field should not blink What I got: Caret blinks Steps to reproduce: 1) Go to url 2) Place focus in any of the page's text fields. Watch caret blink.
Summary: Scrolling JS banner causes caret to "blink" in field → Scrolling JS banner causes caret to "rapidly blink" in field
This page also slows my system (G3 Powerbook) to a crawl.
Using Chimera/20020602, the cursor doesn't actually blink. In fact, when I focus a text input field no cursor is shown at all, though typed characters do appear as expected. Performance is very slow, though. Is this dependent on the Text Carbon Events bug 106693?

Isn't this a duplicate of bug 146831, "The CPU usage around 90% when load Netscape homepage" ? I propose we dupe this bug against that one, since a lot of comments and patches have been attached there - What do people think?
