Hello,

I have tested this issue on latest Firefox release 59.0.2, latest Nightly build 61.0a1 (Build ID: 20180412001050)and could not reproduce it. I have opened the browser and when I pressed the "Ctrl+H" or the "Ctrl+B" keys combination everything worked as expected: the "History" and "Bookmarks" sidebars were displayed on the left side.

However, during testing I've encountered the behavior described in bug 1117253. Are you encountering this behavior as well, or do you see the the sidebar opened for a brief moment in the right side?

Thanks.

I just found an earlier ticket for this: bug 1402458

You can check the video there to get what I mean but I will mark this one as dupe anyway.

Thanks for the reply.
