if you use NSPR_LOG to trace IMAP/HTTP commands fx and then exit Mozilla (quick
launch) still running) and then start mozilla again the NSPR_LOG is corrupted...

to reproduce:
1) exit mozilla completely
2) use NSPR_LOG_FILE to log commands to a file
3) start mozilla and do some stuff that causes stuff to be written to the log
4) exit mozilla (so that quick launch is still runinng)
5) start mozilla and do some stuff that causes stuff to be written to the log
6) view the log. contains binary stuff in the start...

i believe this is equivalent to bug 213923.

in a mozilla w/ a modern NSPR (say a build from today), you can set
NSPR_LOG_FILE=WinDebug (case sensitive). and use Debug View
