User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:59.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/59.0 Build ID: 20180323154952 Steps to reproduce: I try to do right click on opened tabs or at the bookmarks toolbar. I try to do left click on tabs and menus. It always happen when firefox is opened for a longer times (few hours). I think this issue is related to graphics card, my opened google docs also freeze. I use a monitor connected to my PC with HDMI cable and I have a Wincustomize.com screensaver. Actual results: Context menu never pop up. I can change tabs, but I can't open other bookmarks menu. Expected results: I should see menus.
OS: Unspecified → Windows 10
Hardware: Unspecified → x86_64
Summary: Right click and menus don't work on toolbar → Right click and left click menus don't work on toolbar
Build ID 20180412001050 User Agent Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:61.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/61.0 These sound like the symptoms of a failed video driver, could you please update your drivers (if not up-to-date already) and see if the issue is still reproducible after. If they are already up-to-date, do you have any Windows notifications that state the the video driver failed and was reinitialized when this happens? When retesting this, could you please use a new clean Firefox profile (https://goo.gl/AWo6h8), maybe even safe mode (https://goo.gl/AR5o9d), to eliminate any other custom settings as a possible cause?

Thanks, Ciprian! I have two video card inside my laptop so I changed to the other and updated either. The problem was still detectable, so I made a clean profile and there was no freeze for two days. I think the extensions are the source of the problem, so I test each of them. I will update this bug, when I find out anything.
Summary: Right click and left click menus don't work on toolbar → Right click and left click menus don't work

I couldn't detect the problem with clean profile, the problem still occurs even if every extension/addon is blocked. Most of the setting are default, only the following line is modified at about:config: browser.tabs.loadBookmarksInBackground;true What else can I do to solve the problem? It is very irritating, that I regularly have to restart the browser.

I will try to reproduce this problem in the following weeks, maybe it is solved.
I think moving the bug to the Event Handling component was premature, we have no idea what's happening yet. Moving back to Untriaged (sorry about that!) Matt, the next time this happens can you please press Ctrl+Shift+J to open the Browser Console, and see if there are any errors showing up there and if so, copy and paste them here? Errors should show up as red there. Thanks!

I have the same problem. Or at least very similar problem. Right click menus do not appear. Toolbar buttons do nothing. Hamburger menu button goes gray when clicked, but does not display menu Closing Firefox seems to make it hang, but I released this is the "close all tabs" dialog (not being displayed), so pressing <enter> closes it. I say this is a similar problem, as I use firefox over RDP connection, and can re-produce the error very easily... Connect to computer via RDP Open firefox (verify buttons, and menus work). close RDP session re-connect RDP at different resolution Menus in firefox no longer work I tried looking in browser console, and no errors show up. I have hardware acceleration turned off.

@Ehsan, Matt added his console output in comment 7, does anything stand out to you?
Flags: needinfo?(ehsan)
No, sorry I don't see anything strange there.

@Matt, Can you check and see if your issue is reproducible on a clean new profile after you synchronize with your regular profile? Also could you please attach the contents of the about:support page from your affected profile?

Finally I could use my external monitor and I didn't notice this problem, it is solved. Thank you.
