BuildID: 2002051005
RealPlayer is not launched by Mozilla to play an audio file from nick.com. The
audio file is played fine by Internet Explorer 5.1.
RealPlayer does launch properly to play audio from mlb.com, so this does not
seem to be a general RealPlayer problem with Mozilla.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to nick.com
2. Click on the "Music Jukebox"
3. Click on a theme song, I like SpoongeBob. :-)
4. Notice that a small window with a RealPlayer control appears, but the actual
RealPlayer window is not launched to play the audio. The actual RealPlayer
window, along with this small window, appears with IE 5.1.
Actual Results: No audio was played with Mozilla, but does play with IE 5.1.
Expected Results: To hear the audio. In my case, the SpoongeBob theme song.
I am running Mac OS 9.2.2, RealPlayer 8, and Macromedia Flash 6. Let me know
how I can help resolve this problem.

When the cursor is positioned over the audio icon, or double clicked on the
icon, this message is displayed at the bottom of the browser window:
javascript:getReal('http://tm.intervu...nick/music/jukebox/sbsquarepants.rm')
I have RealPlayer defined in the "Helper Applications" to handle files with an
extension of "rm".

-> Plugins, this is not a problem with the JavaScript Engine.

I tried the site on w2k as well, and on mac9.2. In both OS' I got a RealPlayer
dialog that popped up stating:
Requested file not found. The link you followed may be outdated or inaccurate.

More information is available at the RealNetworks Technical Support Website.
So, it seems there is a site issue.

I too now get the same error, both with Mozilla build 2002061103 and with IE
5.1.3. This is a new error, so I suggest we try to reproduce the problem later
today or tomorrow.

The plug-ins triage team (av, beppe, peterl, serge and shrir) have reviewed this
issue and have made the following determination:
The URL provided by nick.com is bad, in fact none of the selections play in
mozilla, IE or 4.x

The site now plays the music properly via RealPlayer. It looks like the site
corrected their problem.
I have no idea why the music would not play with Mozilla, but would play with IE
5.1, about a month ago.
Thanks for looking into this problem.
