User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/67.0.3393.0 Safari/537.36
Steps to reproduce:
Start thunderbird
Actual results:
The TH load stops and shows to joined screen hc
Expected results:
The first load of TH (start) seems stopped, not completed after a cold boot.
note : the menu:files:exit doesn't operate, to close the TH window the user needs to close by using the upper right close window cross or win10 close window.
When launching again TH everything is OK.
This can be reproduced : this occurs only after a cold boot.
This not new, an old problem that I have not reported until now (or previously but not found back).
Note that the profile is very large with 29Go and 400,000 files on a SSD, not compressed.

Does this happen with Thunderbird started in safe mode?

I need to restart the computer and I cannot do it until tomorrow morning. I am running since last night a full check by BitDefender and by MRT on 5To.

And in normal and safe mode does the File and other menu items respond?
Summary: After a cold boot of the computer thunderbird doesn't end to load → After a cold boot of windows 10, thunderbird doesn't finish loading/starting

Hi,
This doesn't happens in safe mode. But until now I have not found, nor found the time to restart n times the computer with each add-on to find from which one this comes.
But when I reset normal start the phenomenon is systematic.
I will have the answer.

If you have lots of add-ons, the quick method is to start with *half* disabled (set #1). If problem is gone enable half of set #1. repeat.
Do the other menues (edit, view, message, tools, ...) respond when you are seeing the problem with file>exit?
Is there anything in the error console? (ctrl+shift+J)

Let's assume then this is caused by add-on and not Thunderbird. If proved otherwise we can reopen the bug.
Additional information welcomed
