Hi, Right click on a link. Select Open Link in New Tab. New web page tab appears then disappears again. Only affects some websites. Noticed this on stackoverflow.com and YouTube. Work around is to hold Ctrl down then mouse left click. This is a recent problem. Noticed it since I installed version 59.
Do you have an add-on installed that could be doing this? Can you reproduce the bug with add-ons disabled?

I normally only have one add-on which is an ad blocker. So I did some tests and looks like the problem lies with Adaware Ad Block (2.0.2.1). Can't reproduce the tab problem with this add-on disabled.
I think what happened was is that when I updated to the latest Firefox (59.0.3) I lost all my Firefox settings, preferences and add ons. I couldn't remember exactly the name of the ad blocker and version I liked and ended up with Adaware Ad Block because it looked familiar. Poking around the files in the Old Firefox Data folder that mysteriously appeared on my desktop recently, it seemed I used to use Adblock Plus. It's a shame this latest Firefox update didn't go as smoothly as normal.
