User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:61.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/61.0
Build ID: 20180418112600

Steps to reproduce:

Visited a page with XML for example http://search.maven.org/remotecontent?filepath=com/jenmaarai/sidekick/2.5/sidekick-2.5.pom

I saw a nice pretty XML with highlighting.

Install an extension that injects content scripts like https://github.com/andreicristianpetcu/augury/releases/download/1.16/augury-1.16.0-an.fx.xpi

Actual results:

The XML viewer was completely broken. It showed the XML as plain text file.

Expected results:

The XML formatting should not have been modified.

This extension in Chrome does not break the XML formatting. I saw this with other extensions from AMO also. I will report the issue to Augury devs but I think if Chrome can make it transparent to addon devs, maybe Firefox can also.
correct XML viewer
Another extension that breaks the formatting https://addons.mozilla.org/ro/firefox/addon/askblocker/
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:61.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/61.0
20180418112600

I can reproduce this with Violentmonkey 2.9.1
https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/violentmonkey/
