Details

We currently leave a lot of junk in the metadata files; most of it could be automatically cleaned up if we know that we have a complete current set of configurations in the metadata input (which we do for e.g. landing try runs).

One thing to be careful of is tests that are disabled; it's not clear if it's best to remove all the expectation data in that case.
