The id of the animation inspector is "newanimationinspector" but we are expecting "animationinspector" so we don't log any telemetry for it.

Probably related to the ongoing migration from the old to the new animation inspector. The panel is being replaced with a new implementation (in React)
Daisuke is doing the work on this one, and the old animationinspector will get deleted very soon.
Let me needinfo Daisuke here as he probably knows about this.

Thanks, Mike, Patrick.
We will delete the old one after QA passed. I think, it would able to be by the end of May. May we wait for that time?? (Even so we should be able to log for channels except Nightly.)

Bug 1458206 includes changes that send a telemetry event for "animationinspector" if the toolid === "newanimationinspector" || "animationinspector" so we don't really need this bug.
