Details

From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.0rc2) Gecko/20020510 BuildID: 2002051009 Netscape worked fine but under mozilla I have to hold down the mouse wheele to scroll. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.under mandrake linux 8.0 with a microsoft mouse nothing happens when mouse wheel is turned 2. 3. Actual Results: nothing Expected Results: scrolling
see comment http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=113055#c2 Are you using imwheel? Netscape doesn't wheelscroll by default on linux, so some extra setting or driver is allowing that. How is your mouse configured in /etc/X11/XF86Config (or XF86Config-4 if you have that)
Reporter: Can you please reply to the questions asked here 2 months ago? (Click link to bug near top of bugmail, and use form on web for "Additional Comments:")
I just have it as mandrake 8.0 standard install # ********************************************************************** # Pointer section # ********************************************************************** Section "Pointer" Protocol "IMPS/2" Device "/dev/psaux" ZAxisMapping 4 5 # Emulate3Buttons # Emulate3Timeout 50 # ChordMiddle is an option for some 3-button Logitech mice # ChordMiddle EndSection The problem seems to come and go with a restart of mozilla but I've since returned to netscape 6.3
@reporter Can you try it on newer builds and report?
No answer since over 1 month, closing bug as WFM. Please reopen, if you have problems with newer builds (1.4 final) or search for similar bugs.
