1460665 - Clicking "Save to Pocket" icon in address bar does not automatically save page after logging in to pocket

Steps to reproduce:

1. Create Firefox account and login to it
2. Create Pocket account using your Firefox account
3. Clear Cookies
4. Navigate to "bugzilla.mozilla.org"
5. Click Pocket icon "Save page to pocket" in address bar
6. Click "Login with Firefox"
7. Click "accept", etc. pp to complete login to Pocket with Firefox account and get redirected to Pocket list


Actual results:

Pocket list is displayed but the page "bugzilla.mozilla.org" is not listed.

I have to return to the tab with "bugzilla.mozilla.org" and click the "Save page to pocket" icon again, for the page to be actually saved to my pocket list.


Expected results:

Pocket list is displayed with the page "bugzilla.mozilla.org" listed.

I use the setting to Clear Private Data every time Firefox closes, so I have to login to Pocket after each start of Firefox.
Thus I have to go through this procedure for the first page I want to save to pocket after every Firefox start.

This is probably related to https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1361540

This bug has been closed due to inactivity and/or the potential for this bug to no longer be an issue with the new Discovery Stream-powered New Tab experience, and improvements to Pocket’s integration with Firefox.

Please help us triage by reopening if this issue still persists and should be addressed.

Jessilyn Davis what do you mean by "Discovery Stream-powered New Tab experience, and improvements to Pocket’s integration with Firefox."?

The issue still exists in FIrefox 73.0.1
