Georgian ships a dictionary by default. It claims to be a dictionary for Georgian, but it's indeed a very old en-US dictionary. https://hg.mozilla.org/l10n-central/ka/file/61092f939579/extensions/spellcheck/hunspell/readme > These are en-US and is NOT ka (Georgian) spellcheck files indeed > included for some purposes: > > - there are no hunspell dictionaries for Georgian yet > - could be useful to resolve some error in builds > - would be useful for English spellchecking at least The latter is not a good motivation: an updated English spell checker can be installed via AMO, and we have plenty of languages shipping with a dictionary by default. It looks like there is a work-in-progress dictionary, but it has very few users. Hopefully I got the author's email right, and CCed him to this bug. https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/georgian-dictionary/ In case, the license is compatible (MIT). https://wiki.mozilla.org/L10n:Dictionaries We can either remove the dictionary from hg, or update it using the one available on AMO. For the latter, I would really like some testing to make sure the dictionary is suitable for release.
Flags: needinfo?(georgianization)
I have been using this dictionary and it's working well. I asked the author if he could upload it to AMO. Here is a link of this conversation — https://github.com/gamag/ka_GE.spell/issues/2#issuecomment-349268714 But I don't know whether it's actually ready for release or not. > It looks like there is a work-in-progress dictionary, but it has very few users By the way, a few weeks ago I noticed that number of users of Georgian language pack unexpectedly increased from 400 to 22 400. Are these numbers correct?

(In reply to Francesco Lodolo [:flod] from comment #2) > Can we go ahead and remove the fake English one in the meantime? Yes. I don't think it's necessary anymore.
OK, I'm going to remove it then. If the other dictionary get in a shippable shape, feel free to file a bug and I can help landing it.
