1. Long pressed to start a text selection, anywhere in the body of the page
2.

What happened?

A menu appeared saying "Edit page" /"View page history" 

What should have happened?
==========================
I should have been able to select some text. No matter how I try I cannot select any text on the page. 

Is there anything else we should know?

Using Firefox on Android.

What version of Firefox on Android? This was reporting in Firefox 56 for Android, and fixed in Firefox 60 (bug 1424252).

It looks like I was still on Firefox 59 (not enough space left for auto-updates). After updating it works. My apologies for the waste of your time, and thanks.

I'm glad the update worked for you.

There's no need to apologize for filing a bug. It can be difficult to find existing, closed issues, and your bug title could be what others are searching for. Less than 10% of users file a bug, so each report reflects at least another 10 users also impacted by the issue. A duplicate bug signals to developers that an issue is important to more than one user, and can be used to prioritize fixes. Finally, it's always nice to be able to tell someone their issue is already fixed and they can download the fix today.
