User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:60.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/60.0 Build ID: 20180516032328 Steps to reproduce: https://news.google.com Scroll the page with the mouse wheel or the keyboard up/down arrows. Actual results: The page scrolls abnormally slowly using both the mouse wheel or the keyboard up/down arrows. Expected results: The page should scroll at normal speed. It scrolls at normal speed in Chrome 66 and Internet Explorer 11 so it's likely a FF bug.
Tested with a fresh profile, no add-ons. Same result.
Disabling smooth scrolling has no effect on scrolling speed, just smoothness.
Looks like it is OS dependent. On Windows 10 mouse wheel and keyboard scroll page normally. On Windows 7 it is slow.
