Not sure what exact component this belongs in.
web.whatsapp.com plays a sound when a message arrives. This makes the audio mute toggle appear on the tab, but it continues showing long after the sound has been made. Is this the intended design, or should the mute button go away after a while?

How much time do you mean by "long after". It is expected to stay there for ~5 secs if audio has stopped, given that there isn't a new audio request during that time.

I guess I mean indefinitely. Although I have noticed that it does not always do this -- maybe sometimes it does stop after 5 seconds. I will keep an eye out for next time I see this happen.
Do you see this on other sites, or only on web.whatsapp.com? I've tried with a few sites (using current nightly), including whatsapp, and I see the audio mute toggle hang around for what appears to be variable amounts, but it always eventually disappears.

I haven't noticed that on other sites. But I haven't noticed this on WhatsApp Web since I filed the bug. So I'm going to say WORKSFORME unless I see it again, thanks.
