Any update on this? We are in the process of creating materials for gatherings, festivals, etc. and would like to use mozilla.nl. TIA

This is mostly ready to go now, waiting for Akamai to transfer the DNS zone. Will check back on it tomorrow.
DNS may still be propagating for some but this redirect works for me now: $ curl -I mozilla.nl HTTP/1.1 301 Moved Permanently Server: Apache/2.4.6 (CentOS) X-Backend-Server: redirect2.webapp.mdc1.mozilla.com Cache-Control: max-age=31536000 Content-Type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1 Date: Tue, 23 Oct 2018 14:22:52 GMT Location: https://mozilla.org/nl/ Expires: Wed, 23 Oct 2019 14:22:52 GMT Transfer-Encoding: chunked Connection: Keep-Alive X-Cache-Info: caching

This was working yesterday, but somehow it is broken now. Can you look into this again?

Hi Wim, it still works for me: $ curl -I http://mozilla.nl HTTP/1.1 301 Moved Permanently Server: Apache/2.4.6 (CentOS) X-Backend-Server: redirect1.webapp.mdc1.mozilla.com Cache-Control: max-age=31536000 Content-Type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1 Date: Wed, 24 Oct 2018 14:25:31 GMT Location: https://mozilla.org/nl/ Expires: Thu, 24 Oct 2019 14:25:31 GMT Transfer-Encoding: chunked Connection: Keep-Alive X-Cache-Info: caching Maybe your browser is caching something?

Hm, tested on several Firefox browsers and IE11 and it depends on what you type in the addressbar, namely: mozilla.nl redirects properly www.mozilla.nl gives a "server not found" Possibly www needs to be added to the configuration?
Flags: needinfo?(fryskefirefox)
Indeed the 'www' name does not exist. Would you like me to create that and redirect that as well?
Yes please, that would be awesome. We still see lots of people typing ‘www.’ before the domain.
www added: $ curl -I http://www.mozilla.nl HTTP/1.1 301 Moved Permanently Server: Apache/2.4.6 (CentOS) X-Backend-Server: redirect2.webapp.mdc1.mozilla.com Cache-Control: max-age=31536000 Content-Type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1 Date: Wed, 24 Oct 2018 15:35:26 GMT Location: https://mozilla.org/nl/ Expires: Thu, 24 Oct 2019 15:35:26 GMT Transfer-Encoding: chunked Connection: Keep-Alive X-Cache-Info: caching

Thanks, works perfectly now!
https://www.mozilla.nl doesn't redirect, neither does https://mozilla.nl

That's correct they don't. We'd have to pay for a cert to redirect those. Do we have a link that's referencing that or a reason lots of people would be hitting it?

mzoilla.nl isn't popular, mozilla-nl.org was more popular. Thought it'd be easy just deploying a Let's Encrypt cert just for the simple redirect. If it's any hassle just leave it as-is then.
