Does it work with other browsers ? Do you use a proxy server or a VPN ? The server message itself is coming from the server and this doesn't seem to be a browser issue. I found several reports with google about the same error message on different servers and with Firefox and Google Chrome.

Does not work with other browsers. I reset the verizon fios router and trouble persists.

trouble started coincident with firefox upgrade but not sure it is related.
This can not be a browser issue if you get this error message also with other browsers like safari or Chrome. I bet that you get the same error on your smartphone if you enable wifi and use your DSL/cable internet connection with your phone. It seems that your current IP from verizon is blocked by the akamai CDN that nasdaq.com is using. I don't know how get a new public IP at verizon but you can try to restart your router. This will most likely fix the problem. I have to mark this report invalid because this is no Firefox issue.
