Hello Peiying! Thank you for the call yesterday. It was a pleasure to meet you, and I look forward to working with you on the F100 snippet localization project. We don't have a hard deadline for this project. As of today, we'd like to get a user story added to begin programming the F100 snippet journeys either sprint 2 or 3 of Q3. I've created a Google Drive folder which contains a spreadsheet for each locale: ES, FR, ID, PL, PT-BR, RU & ZH-TW. Each document has the lifecycle stage, profile age, icon, copy and landing page for each snippet. You can find them here: IPC: Desktop F100 Snippet Localization - https://drive.google.com/open?id=10B5bzU-PlGQYNGyZgLZIc18PNoo6aFhN CONTEXT: The F100 snippet journey is a collection of desktop snippets programmed for new Firefox users. We've published sixteen weeks worth of snippet content divided into four lifecycle stages: interest, learning, adv. usage & expert. Each week, the user sees a collection of snippets introducing them to our products giving them a reason to explore and engage with us. Generally, we want to share all the awesomeness that is Firefox and help improve their browsing experience. We launched the journey for EN on March 8th. NOTES: - Words surrounded by <a> </a> are where the links will go. - Try to keep them under 180 characters, but less than 160 is better. - The IRL podcast (highlighted in red) is in English. Let me know how you'd like to handle these. I know this is a ton of information. Please let me know if I can help with the process or if you have any questions. Thanks again! :) - Kat
Peiying - Thanks again for the help on the DE version of this campaign. Wanted to check in on progress with this as we are planning for sprint 2 of Q3 which starts this coming Monday 7/23. Didn't see any details in the locale-specific spreadsheet so perhaps they are being worked on elsewhere? Any update you can provide would be appreciated. Thx

Hi Michele, Due to the size of the project, and especially the launch is spread out throughout a few months, we broke it up into four parts so it is easier to tackle - every four weeks per project. For duplicate snippets, within the four week period or throughout the 16-week period, we removed them. Click on the following links to see where each locale is at for each of the four week period: - https://l10n.mozilla-community.org/langchecker/?locale=all&website=6&file=snippets/2018/Firefox100-part1.lang - https://l10n.mozilla-community.org/langchecker/?locale=all&website=6&file=snippets/2018/Firefox100-part2.lang - https://l10n.mozilla-community.org/langchecker/?locale=all&website=6&file=snippets/2018/Firefox100-part3.lang - https://l10n.mozilla-community.org/langchecker/?locale=all&website=6&file=snippets/2018/Firefox100-part4.lang Could you share the rest of your launch dates? This will help us prioritize the projects. Many people for these requested markets are on summer holiday break/school break and are working on competing projects. I will send reminder emails but only for what's due next. Thanks!

Hi peiying, I noticed that in all parts 1-4 that all the ES snippets are listed as "Identical". Does "Identical" mean the exact copy of every snippet submitted to be localized has already been localized? If so, how do I get the link to the localization already done? Thanks! Michelle

None of the strings are localized. I have pinged the locale managers. Could you list when each part is due? I will see what I need to do to get the first part done.

I was looking at this, in Part 1: https://l10n.mozilla-community.org/langchecker/?website=6&file=snippets/2018/Firefox100-part1.lang&action=translate And see localizations for the snippet I'm asking after for all locales but EN and RU. Is this the wrong place to be looking?

Is this the wrong place to be looking? If you are trying to get the localized content, it is no different than what you did before. There are different ways to check on the status and get the strings, depending on how you want to get them: one string for all languages or one language for all strings of part 1. 1). All locales for part 1 (or the 1st four weeks of the 16-week long campaign): https://l10n.mozilla-community.org/langchecker/?locale=all&website=6&file=snippets/2018/Firefox100-part1.lang. (To check next batch, you can change part1.lang to part2.lang). This gives you status of all locales and which ones have not completed. If you click on the file name (like you did above), you will see all the English strings and the locales already translated. This gives you snippets at *string* level. 2). One locale for part 1 (in es): https://pontoon.mozilla.org/es/engagement/snippets/2018/Firefox100-part1.lang/?string=179467. This gives you all the strings in one place for one language. It shows 0% completion. Change it to pt-BR, it is 100% complete. 3). On github: https://github.com/mozilla-l10n/engagement-l10n/blob/master/pt-BR/snippets/2018/Firefox100-part1.lang, this shows you the source file in one language, but it doesn't show you the completion status. You just eyeball which string is completed. For pt-BR, it is completed. Changing the locale code to "es", all the strings are in English.

Good morning Peiying! I just wanted to check in with this. Right now, all of the locales except for ES and FR look like they're in pretty good shape. Would you mind following up with ES and FR? 8/8 is the part 3 deadline for the snippets and it like looks like they are still working on the part 2. Let us know if you need anything from us! Thanks! Naoko
No worries Naoko. I am in touch with both communities. They are working on each of the files.

French has completed too.

@Naoko, I have sent a request to our vendor to complete Spanish after checking with community resource availability before the deadline. I will update you once the files are back.
