User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:60.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/60.0 Build ID: 20180516032328 Steps to reproduce: Nothing. It's been since last update (52.8.0 (32 bits)) on Windows 7 Pro SP 1 up to date. Actual results: It used to look like this : https://support.mozilla.org/fr/kb/contenu-distant-dans-les-messages#w_afficher-le-contenu-distant-pour-un-message-particulier-lexpaediteur-ou-le-site-web Now it just looks like this : https://prod-cdn.sumo.mozilla.net/uploads/gallery/images/2014-09-25-05-51-53-b75564.png without the "Options" button. I cannot understand why, I haven't changed my configuration, I'm not authorizing distant content and relied on this button to check the images for the few mails I'm interested in. I've checked online and did not manage to find a clear answer to help out and get back this missing button. My display is set to Original HTML. > Worth noting, if I switch to "Discussion view", I do have a link "Le contenu distant a été masqué : afficher le contenu distant" (distant content has been hidden: display the distant content) which is the option I'm looking to have back. Expected results: No change it was good as it was, wasn't it ? I just want the Options button back, thanks. Or a way to configure my client so it works as I'm used to.

Ah, you're looking at an encrypted message, right? Remote content is now disabled for encrypted messages. It can't be allowed since a back channel can leak the plaintext.
(In reply to Magnus Melin from comment #1) > Ah, you're looking at an encrypted message, right? > Remote content is now disabled for encrypted messages. It can't be allowed > since a back channel can leak the plaintext. Not I'm aware of. I get this on all messages that contains images. For example the Humble Bundle messages that presents the on-going sales as well as temporary free games. I also get this behavior on emails sent by a client of mine who has a few pictures in his signature.
Ha, I think I found where the issue is coming from. It may not be due to Thunderbird vanilla but to the addon : https://github.com/protz/thunderbird-conversations When I deactivate it, I get back access to my "Options" button. Unfortunately, I "lose" the "Discussion" mode like in GMail which I'm pretty used to, but at least the button is back. Nevertheless, I guess this bug report is not a bug and can be closed. I'll make a report to the addon's author.
