Steps to reproduce:

Install any Linux distro
Choose a dark theme such as vertex-dark or arc-dark, you may need to install one
In most distros this can be found under "appearance" in the start menu
Navigate to a webpage of your choice, preferably one with lots of inputboxes
(I'll come back and post some webpages that display this issues well)


Actual results:

Some areas of the page are dark, this is okay except it makes the page's theme inconsistent and sometimes results in the user typing black text into a black input box which is not ideal


Expected results:

Changing the desktop environments's theme should have no effect on a webpage's CSS

I find it interesting that I could not find more bug reports about this issue given this issue is often complained about in Linux communities

Further notes:
Given the the XFCE-Dusk theme does not replicate this issue it is possible to shift the blame onto the makers of Vertex-Dark and Arc-Dark. However at the same time browsers such as Chrome and Brave do not suffer from this issue.

This is reproducible on Ubuntu 16.04 with latest nightly using the vertex-dark theme. Input boxes become dark and texts are black.
