The mozilla-pipeline-schemas are currently validated against sample data that have been placed into the project as unit tests. However, the data does not necessarily get tested against real data in the pipeline.
Testing the schemas against a sample of live data can catch errors before they make it into production/release.
It may also make sense to run the schemas against something like nightly, if we are interested specifically in telemetry.
