Could a menu option to enable/disable all user installed extensions be considered? The use case I'm after is to shut-down all extensions that manipulate webpages without disabling Plugins (e.g. Safe Mode would not work for this). Obviously one could click Disable on every extension manually, but I figure this would be a useful feature. I imagine an ideal place to locate this would be the gear icon, on the about:addons page, that is used to manage add-on updates. Thanks for the consideration!

Cool, thanks lockhartrm. Moving to the about:addons component.

That duplicate resolution (1195017) is inactive. Does that mean the request won't be considered for implementation?
We have a project underway to overhaul the user interface for managing addons (ie, all the stuff currently lumped together at about:addons). This project is still in the design phase but the designers working on it have been paying attention to the many UI requests in Toolkit : Add-ons Manager including the duplicate. We're unlikely to make changes to the current about:addons page given this pending revamp. If you want to follow the project, the meta bug is bug 1387450, though there hasn't been much recent activity.
