1466565 - It's awkward to use Nightly with multiple profiles

For several years I've run a single install of Nightly on several profiles simultaneously.  I'd restart the browsers every week-ish, or when a Nightly bug got into my workflow.  From a user POV, it's worked pretty well.

Bug 1366808 landed recently and now it seems like all the profiles are tied together when restarting.  I'll restart one and then a few minutes later the other profiles refuse to load any pages until I restart them.

This is awkward since it's so abrupt and it doesn't appear until I'm trying to interact with the browser.  Like, I want to paste in a link in a vidyo call and suddenly I just hit a wall and have to restart.

From talking on Slack it sounds like this may be by design, but I wanted to file this because it's tough for me to use Nightly now and maybe other people are running into it too.
