User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/66.0.3359.181 Safari/537.36
Steps to reproduce:
1. Insert USB smartcard reader with smartcard inserted inside.
2. Open Firefox
3. Visit a webpage.
Actual results:
Firefox freezes completely, unresponsive. Firefox can only be closed via "Force quit"
Problem doesen't occur when the card is not inserted to the USB card reader.
Described problem occurs with different smartcards using different libraries and technology(OpenSC and others)
Tested with:
Firefox 61.0b6
Mac: 10.13.4
Smartcard reader: Generic Smart Card Reader Interface max APDU size 65536
Expected results:
Firefox should load the webpage and should not freeze.

Same problem also occurs with Firefox version 60.1(live).
Problem does NOT occur with Firefox version 59 and 62(alpha)

This is fixed in Nightly, will be fixed in the next Firefox beta release, 60.2 and the next ESR 60 release.
