1466882 - Provide GP options to disable clear history

Are there any plans to add group policy support to prevent users on the Firefox ESR from deleting their browsing history? There is already the option to disable the forget button, but that is pointless if the user can accomplish the same thing going though the settings.

There are many things the user can do to delete history (delete on the URL bar, delete in history window, etc.)

Are you asking that all access to delete history be removed?

In an enterprise environment, that may be desired, albeit most enterprise environments will have some form of logging software or hardware in place.

This issue is 2 years old. SSL traffic cannot be logged via proxy server and deleting browser history can be tantamount to destroying evidence in some situations involving intellectual property theft. As such, Firefox is not suitable or safe for enterprise environments. Please add this functionality soon. I don't like IE/Edge and don't trust Chrome or Chromium based browsers.

Registry and/or domain/local group policy, please.

In situations where the administrator deems it necessary to use this setting, there should also be a way to disable changing the length of time history is stored.
