Build: RC3, Win2k, using IMAP 1. Send an email to yourself. 2. Open up the Mail&Newsgroups window. 3. Right-click on new mail (as if it were some SPAM you don't want to open) and select Delete from the menu. 4. The message is deleted, and the Unread count decreases, but the icon in the quick-launch thingie (lower left) does not update. It will update the next time you open the mailreader.
reporter, i assume you are talking about icon (white mailbox/envelope w/red flag) in system tray? If so yes it will not update the tooltip if you delete a new mesg.

Actually I was talking about the component toolbar icon, that has the green arrow (in the Modern theme) when there is new mail.
