Build ID: 20180605171542

Steps to reproduce:

Actual results:

my input of URL is interrupted by address of startpage of firefox

Expected results:

address of startpage of firefox should not be displayed. Let me finish typing the URL
::mak is it safe to mark this as a duplicate of bug 1457149? It seems like the same underlying issue.

I do not think it is a duplicate. Bug 1468033 is not about deleting the address bar.

start firefox, quickly use ctrl+L to focus address bar, and while typing an URL the address of the startpage appears.
Example:

Startpage be file:///D:/start.html
URL to go be google.com

Result (after starting firefox and ctrl+L) is googlfile:///D:/start.html
there may be a relation, but I'm not sure it's a dupe.

This does seem like a possible dupe of bug 1426058 though. That bug describes the urlbar as being focused automatically, and this bug describes the user manually focusing it, but either way the result is that the input is filled with the homepage URL while you're typing.
