Hey Team,

Our partner TTC, with whom we worked on The Glassroom project, has reached out asking if we could transfer glassroom.org domain to them. Can you please confirm we own the domain and what would be the first step to transfer the ownership?

theglassroom.org is the domain we would like to transfer to Tactical Tech. Can you please advise what is the process here?

Do we really want to transfer the domain to them so we no longer own it or have control over it?  Often times, it is more desirable to delegate the domain's nameservers to their nameservers so they can create/modify/delete DNS entries while we retain ownership.  Just want to double check.  We do own the domain though and can do as I have suggested or we can transfer to the third party if desired.

As you explained, can we delegate the domain's nameservers to their nameservers? What information do you need to do that?

Hi Daniel,

Can you please list the nameservers you want to use? Based on the limited whois data available for tacticaltech.org I could guess the list is:

Name Server: NS1.LINODE.COM
Name Server: NS2.LINODE.COM
Name Server: NS3.LINODE.COM
Name Server: NS4.LINODE.COM
Name Server: NS5.LINODE.COM

But querying ns1.linode.com for the SOA of theglassroom.org returns REFUSED. Please advise.

I've sent your question to Tactical Tech and heard back that: theglassroom.org zone is now on Linode NS servers,
we can now proceed with the transfer.

Great! I confirm the SOA is present. I went ahead and made the change at MarkMonitor. You should start to see this change in about 15 minutes. It should fully propagate within 24 about hours.
