Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.12; rv:60.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/60.0 Build ID: 20180605171542 Steps to reproduce: I need a number of accessibility fixes to use Firefox or any other web browser. Some of these accessibility fixes rely on web extensions and other add-ons. Actual results: I realized that support.mozilla.org was ignoring one of my accessibility tools. I filed a bug here, #1466718, and contacted the add-on developer. I found that add-ons no longer work on support.mozilla.org. This add-on only adjusted font sizes, so it could make pages more readable. Some of my other add-ons block animation, fixed elements, etc. I currently use the about:config fix to block gifs and pngs, but there aren't enough about:config options to block enough animation, or to block fixed elements. I have some kind of photosensitivity. I haven't had clear-cut seizures, but have had severe migraines and nausea due to web animation and vomiting due to other flashing. So it's really important to be able to block more animation, and somewhat important to block fixed elements. I was still able to post a few questions on support.mozilla.org, but I can't stop the animation as the top bar changes shape, and I can't remove the top bar. I sometimes get migraines from animation as top bars change shape, and as they refuse to scroll. Admittedly, that's mostly on sites with more intense contrast between the top bar and the rest of the page, or more complex animation, but it can also be an issue on screens which leave less space between the top bar and the center of the screen. Expected results: Either web extensions should work on support.mozilla.org and bugzilla.mozilla.org, or built-in Firefox settings should provide all necessary accessibility tools.
