Steps to reproduce:

Use Firefox on Android P  (works fine in 8.1)

Open webpage, keep tabs open

Switch to another app

Open Firefox again


Actual results:

It has often been an empty screen, even after refresh

I have to Copy Address and open it in a new tab


Expected results:

I have no idea how to export debug information (about:xxx?), please tell me how to help devs fix it

Hello Sean,

I've tried to reproduce this issue following these scenarios:
 -Open 2-3 web pages, switch between them and then multi-task to any other app(for example facebook, whatsaap, twitter)
 -Open 1 web page, resume the browser and open any other 3 apps, multi task back to the Firefox web page
 -The steps from the description

Note that I tried to reproduce the issue using different websites.
But I could not reproduce this issue.

I used the following devices and builds:

Devices: Google Pixel XL - Android version P || Samsung Galaxy S8+ - Android version 8 || Samsung Galaxy S7  - Android 7 ||
Builds: Beta 60.0b17 || RC   60.0.2 || Nightly 62.0a1
I wanna mention that on every device I tested with all the available builds

Can you please check if this issue occurs with other browsers too?
If you manage to reproduce this issue 100% please provide the following: The device with Android version, the web pages you accessed and to what app you multi tasked.

Also, can you please check if your internet connection is good and stable? Try to reproduce this issue on an Wi-Fi connection too.
If you manage to reproduce this issue, please make a video, you can use AZ Screen Recorder from the Google Play Store.

The description of this bug is different from the one I experience in Bug 1146783 and Bug 1464610.  Which are the same as each-other.  The cause might be the same but we can't assume that yet.

And after enable "don't keep activities" just open screen with geckoview on application, minimize the application, open another application, wait some seconds and restore application with gecko. Now you see blank screen on GeckoView. Checked on last nightly version
