From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.0rc3)
Gecko/20020523
BuildID: 2002052305
This is a server accessed through a proxy at our University.
Until now I had no problems with it, but today (after updating to M-1.0rc3)
the attempt to download the file froze the operating system and the
Powerbook had to be reset by brute force.
Before restarting I tried to ssh from my Linux Box (where Mozilla also seems to
have some Java problems -- about that later). ssh did not work, although the
Powerbook responded to pings.
Reproducible: Couldn't Reproduce
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Tried the same download in a fresh copy of Mozilla, after rebooting
.this time all went well. So it is hard to say waht caused the freeze.
Actual Results: Works now, but I'll keep watching it.
This version of Mozilla seems more stable than Netscape 7.0 beta.
However the java plugin is missing on the Mac OS 10 version.
System:
Powerbook G4
Mac OS 10.1.4
Wireless connection to a router connected to cable modem. Download speeds up to
300 kB/s.
Also running at the same time OroborOSX0.75 (XDarwin), Abiword, Acrobat reader,
possibly some othger apps in the Dock
Hardy, did Mozilla write a Crash Report following that crash? If so, please
attach it to this bug.

No, it froze the Mac so I could not retrieve anything.
It did not happen a second time, so far.
I am replying from the much more stable Linux box (Mozilla build
2002051316).

I got another crash -- while moving from one tab to another in the sidebar.
This time I got the crash log for you.

Hardy, that sounds like it's probably a different problem than you had reported
this bug for originally. You should probably file a new bug and attach the crash
report to it.
-> talkback
Hardy: I don't have an account, so I cannot access the PDF files to reproduce.
You said this only happened once right?
Greer: This bug report is basically a crash report for 1.0RC3.

This is ancient, and should just be resolved WFM. Hardy, if you want to file
another bug about that other crash, feel free to do so, but only if you can
still reproduce it.
