Details

Right now the default cache time for objects fronted by Cloudfront is 1 day. Let's change it to 10 years to minimize traffic between cloudfront and s3. This will, potentially, allow us to put more objects in IA storage. Objects with cache times explicitly specified will not be affected. Any reasons we shouldn't/can't do this?

Other than objects in various latest-* directories that we have exceptions for already, I can't think of any problems with this.

I don't think we should make this change at this time. We can reopen if we decide to do it later.
