Steps to reproduce:

01) below <https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1468195#c7> I composed a comment that included a thumb-up character

02) I clicked 'Save changes'


Actual results:


03) the character, and everything that followed, was silently lost


Expected results:


either: 

03) acceptance of the character

– or: 

03) overt rejection of the change e.g. a plain English (or localised) explanation that thumbs-up is not allowed.
Test: 

the quick brown fox jumped over the

- the preview of the comment was not bugged

- the resulting comment is bugged.
We're aware of this issue. It requires an 8-hour downtime window to fix, and we're planning on doing that in the next TCW.
