1470669 - Variables Fonts show weird white lines when when creating glyphs

Use a Variable Font, in Firefox Nightly, especially a black chunky one (makes it easier to see the problem).

You see background-colored lines on the glyphs, making it look like each glyph is made of a stack of puzzle pieces, and you can see the background between those pieces.

Stephen Nixon on Twitter pointed out this bug, reporting that it happens in both Firefox and Safari. https://twitter.com/ThunderNixon/status/1009878237068001280 
He suggests that Authors use `text-shadow: 0 0 0 #000;` to fix it.

Yes, this is a known issue on macOS; see bug 1459858.
