- The default selected version is "Trunk".

- The default selected version is "Unspecified".

- This issue does not occur in the case of the Chrome browser.

Is this perhaps an issue in firefox? I'm on nightly and I can't reproduce.

I can confirm that this is not a valid bug. It appears that Andre is right and Chrome was remembering to select Trunk as the default version from the previously logged issues; reproduction that stopped occurring after I cleared the browser's local cache.
