User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:61.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/61.0 Build ID: 20180621125625 Steps to reproduce: I just go on Google or search something on it and it just happens! Actual results: I have attached a picture showing the bug. In case you can't see it, I get the error code "SSL_ERROR_RX_RECORD_TOO_LONG" when it happens. Expected results: Google should work normally.
Are you using an anti-virus and/or "web shield" program? If so which?
(In reply to Tom Kloos from comment #1) > Are you using an anti-virus and/or "web shield" program? If so which? I have AVG (I got it when I was installing Bitlord). I don't believe this is the cause of this problem as I do not recall this happening before Firefox 61. I also have the Video Blocker and Adblock Plus add-ons, but I have had those for a long time and they never cause problems.
Firefox 61 has TLS 1.3 now allowed by default (a change from previous versions). If AVG has a way to turn off HTTPS scanning, try turning that off and see if that helps. Alternatively, what happens if you set "security.tls.version.max" to 3 in about:config?

hi, until avg fixes this problem in the next couple of days, please disable the scanning of https connections in the avast webshield as a workaround.
