User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:61.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/61.0 Build ID: 20180621125625 Steps to reproduce: When setting the playback speed at 2x the audio starts distorting. Actual results: The audio starts distorting, making it barely understandable. Expected results: This issue is present only in Firefox browser, in Edge and Google Chrome, the audio plays without distortions. You may not notice it when you hear it only in Firefox, but after using it after another browser, this really sets the teeth on edge. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AluzYeoHU6Y - You can compare it at 2x in Firefox and another browser.

Whiteboard: [DUPEME to bug 1395158?]
Yeah this is known, our algorithm is not very good. It's unclear that we have enough time to write a new one though. It's not the first time I hear about people complaining about this though, maybe it's time to prioritize this higher.
Priority: -- → P3
We've also got bug 1427267 which has some discussion on this and should be grouped if we end up consolidating efforts somewhere.
