Steps to reproduce:

1) Open http://www.spiegel.de/ --> scroll down the page
2) Click a menu button for a 3rd party addon (Bitwarden or uBlock Origin)


Actual results:

1) Artifacts appear --> see screenshot attached
2) The menu appears much slower than with webrender disabled and there's an artifact at the top --> see screenshot


Expected results:

1) There should not appear any artifact
2) The menu should appear at the same speed as with webrender disabled (or faster) and there should be no artifact

I couldn't reproduce this on Debian Testing (GTX 1060).

Speculative and maybe wrong: Would it help if you create gfx.webrender.program-binary;true and gfx.webrender.program-binary-disk;true on about:config and restart Nightly? (bug 1467358)

fresh profile, gfx.webrender.all;true, installed uBlock Origin (not needed).

I assume I see the same bug as you, but only exact at 150% zoom.

As this Macbook has a high dpi screen I guess zooming might be automatically involved here. I didn't change any setting though.

This didn't change anything regarding menu rendering time.

On Win10 (GTX 1060) I could only reproduce with force-angle=false so far and it looks exactly as on Debian (comment 5).

I'm on MacOS. Perhaps it's a bit different on Linux?

I guess the target platform should be switched to Linux as it's fine on MacOS for quite a while now (and never was a problem on windows). Also the visual glitch on addon widgets seems to be gone now. The only issue left is that these widgets still open quite slow on MacOS with webrender enabled.
