This is a spin off of https://webcompat.com/issues/12291
Using Firefox Nightly 61.0a1 (2018-04-24) (64-bit). This is working quite well on macos. But indeed when activating webrender there is a bit more jankiness.
Step to reproduce
1. Go to http://alexanderperrin.com.au/paper/shorttrip/
2. Move the train.
Janky with webrender on.

Okay, sorry, I can't see a difference to Basic, OpenGL and Chrome Dev.
The background is always jumping a bit to the left and right while everything is moving.

This report is too old. 20171010220102 was indeed a 2 fps adventure.
