Try this:

1. Make sure Mozilla is OS X' default browser
2. Launch Mozilla RC3
3. Make sure an email client (I used Entourage X) is open, AND that it's
displaying an email containing a link to a web page, that requires an ID and
password to enter (such as an FTP directory).
4. Click the link
5. Mozilla will open the link and immediately display the ID and password
"sheet" without rendering the page.
6. If you type in the ID and password from memory it should work, but if you
have to copy and paste it from your email program (for example), when you give
the focus back to the Mozilla window, the sheet is completely frozen (throbber
still goes).
7. You cannot paste in the ID or password, cannot click in the fields to enter
them manually, and cannot cancel the sheet dialog.
8. The only way out is to quit Mozilla.
To XP apps. This is a duplicate, I believe...
