Steps to reproduce:

I run Thunderbird 52.8.0 and it doesn't want to update to 52.9.0 because your update server returns an empty string:

Expected results:

Fix the server ASAP.

Thanks for noticing.  It is intentional that 52.9.0 isn't offered - it has been withdrawn because of bug 1473893.  52.9.1 will soon be offered.
