_devtools _user telemetry scalar expiry date
59 bytes, text/x-review-board-request
The probe will expire in 63 but is still valuable and should be extended.
Attachment #8990918 - Attachment is patch: true
Copying from email: > The probe takes a non-zero value in the first ping containing devtools activity for a profile and is unset at all other times. > Defined here: https://searchfox.org/mozilla-central/source/toolkit/components/telemetry/Scalars.yaml#1049 > Introduced in this bug: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1408339 I'd like to use this flag to help identify new users for retention analyses. I would prefer expires: never because the need for retention analysis is not time-bound but we can always revisit during the 66 cycle.

Comment on attachment 8993779 [details] Bug 1474529 - Update scalar is_devtools_user to opt-out and expire in Fx66; https://reviewboard.mozilla.org/r/258478/#review265936 Based on the previous data review (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1408339#c14), which for some reason had already flagged this as default ON, this is a straightforward probe renewal. datareview+
