The browser hangs when I go to www.blackbondbooks.com (home page) this happens under Mozilla RC3 on Win98 and RC2 on Win2K. All open browser windows lock up, and the icon in the icon tray is unresponsive. I had to kill mozilla with the task manager.

Works for me. 1.0, RC3, WinXP, JDK 1.4, Athlon XP 1800. Mozilla freezes for a little while (~12 seconds), then shows the page. Perhaps this is due to the java applet on the page? What happens if you go to Preferences->Advanced and disable Java? does it work then?
Also Linux rc3. Java starts, Java console pops up, then suddenly gets grey, and the page shows a small grey rectangle somewhere on the right. This happens on ANY page with Java. Seems to be a regression from rc2 with OJI. This is a real showstopper !
Additional Info: Using Sun Java VM 1.4 ns610 plugin. Bug 147445 seems to have the same problem with 1.3.1 plugin. This one maybe upgraded to BLOCKER and OS=All.
Sorry, must correct myself: This does NOT happen on all java pages, e.g. http://phylogeny.arizona.edu/life.html works.
wfm with win2k build 20020525.. and JRE1.4 Reporter: Can you upgrade to JRE1.4 if you use JRE1.3.X ? grabow@darkstar.inka.de : This can't be a blocker sinde it doesn't block development..
As suggested, I upgraded both my Win98 and Win2K machines form Java SDK 1.3.1_02 to JRE1.4. The page loads correctly now on both computers.
thanks ! -> wfm (Bug in the JRe1.3.x )
