The signature file is always appended to the very end of the message. With Replies set to "quoted inline" it is still appended at the bottom of the message, and below the message to which you are replying. This puts it out of the view of the intended recipient. Would like to have it below the insertion point, for new text, but still above the quoted message to which you are replying.

This does not depend on the system. I think this is the way it should be. Suggesting WONTFIX. pi

Pi and i recived a mail from the reporter: ---------- I was afraid that might be the case. However just to higlight the issue on a usability basis. Currently i often need to cut and paste it into place. What would you think about adding a function key based system that allows you to insert any one of a number of strings of text. If this added the required text at the insertion point, it would resolve my issue, and add functionality. This would be very usefull for people who respond to frequently similar queries. For example control option 1 price list control option 2 delivery details control option 3 Signature etc ------------ ..is this bug a dup of bug 62429? ..62429 is also wontfix.. and has a discussion about this issue..

Yes, I do think, that bug 62429 answers this bug. Keys for adding standard texts sound reasonable to me, though. I have not searched if there is a bug for this. pi
verified won't fix, but read dup bug 62429 which at this time is wontfix, but may change if more discussion supports it.
