User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:61.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/61.0 Build ID: 20180704194937 Steps to reproduce: i open a url with a login form. i clicked in the username field and typed my username. i clicked tab to switch the focus. i type my password in the field. (My password contains the char '@') If i typed the '@' char, the input will complete marked and with the next char it will be overwritten. i have tested all firefox versions at ubuntu 16.04 64bit. at windows 10 64bit this bug is not present. i have tested with my nextcloud and grafana homepage: https://cloud.elaon.de https://monitor.elaon.de Actual results: with the '@' char all text in the input will marked and overwritten. if i clicked in the input field, than this bug will not occur. Expected results: i can type my password with the '@' in it, without marked all text and overwrite it.
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:63.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/63.0 (20180716100102) I have tested this report on Windows 10 x64, Ubuntu 18.04 & 16.04 x64 using the latest Nightly and Firefox release build. I did not manage to reproduce the mentioned behavior. I have tested with different pages like Twitter, Grafana, GitHub, Youtube, and Facebook. I`m not able to mark nor overwrite my password that contains '@' char when I`m tabbing to change the focus or when clicking in the password field. Can you re-test this using a new clean Firefox profile, maybe even safe mode, to eliminate custom settings as a possible cause? Do you have any add-ons installed to the browser you are using? Please change if this is not the correct component.
