Mozilla 1.0rc1-3 crashes upon entering this site, immidiately after loading the favbar 
icon. Mozilla 0.9.5 works fine.

Just tested on Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.0rc3) Gecko/20020523 
 
Only happens when the gateway is acting as a transparent proxy. Workaround: 
explicitly enable proxy server in Mozilla proxy settings dialog. Weird :\

Daniel: If you are crashing in Mozilla the best thing you can do to help the
developers fix your bug is to attach a stacktrace. If you're not building
yourself you are not out of luck. Mozilla releases nightly and milestone builds
with Netscape's Talkback (you can get latest build on:
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla/nightly/latest/) Talkback should catch most
crashes and offer to send in a crash report. Developers can retrieve that crash
report and attach it to your bug report if you provide either the Incident ID
(you can get it by running the talkback program from /components/talkback/).
Thanks for your help in testing Mozilla and reporting bugs.

I'm attaching a testcase to exploit this. 

1. ONLY THE FOLLOWING SYSTEMS ARE AFFECTED:

   * Win98 (4.10.0000) / 98SE (4.10.222.2)
   * any nvidia nv11/nv15 based videocard (geforce 2mx/gts/ti)
   * reference nvidia detonator drivers v21.83/23.11/28.32
   * color depth MUST be set to 16/32bit. Of course crash does not happen in
16/256 color modes :)

   Linux, win2k/xp are not affected; systems not using nvidia drivers are not
affected.

2. Unpack test.tar.gz / open test.html === crash (divide by zero)

3. Restart. :P Delete/rename spacer-mid.gif. Open test.html === OK.

Possible solution is to download older build and replace new
components/imggif.dll with older version, cause 0.9.5 is not affected.

QFA doesn't catch this crash, because the whole system becomes unresponsible
(i.e.  I can't spawn any more processes).

btw I was able to reproduce this on _lots_ of workstations on our LAN.
