(Whiteboard: [win:fullscreen][win:sizing])
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:62.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/62.0 Build ID: 20180709172241 Steps to reproduce: On Windows, the shortcut "Windows + Shift + Left/Right Arrow" allows us to move an application from one screen to another. Reproduction. Step 1 : put Firefox on the main monitor. Step 2 : check that you can move the application Window from one screen to another and go back to the original screen with the shortcut. Step 3 : put Firefox in fullscreen mode (F11, or open any video in fullscreen). Step 4 : try again to move the Firefox Window in fullscreen. Actual results: The Window can move from primary to the secondary screen, but it can't move from secondary to primary screen. Expected results: The Window should be able to move in both ways. It works on Internet Explorer 11. The problem is similar on Google Chrome. It's worst on Edge (can't move the Window at all). It's an old bug I have since always, same resolution (1920*1080p) on both screen. I am on Windows 10 64 bits, but the problem was present in Windows 7/8.
Hi Thomas, I am able to move the application to a different monitor and back using the Windows Key+Shift+Left/Right arrow using the following specs: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:62.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/62.0 Build ID: 20180713213322 Can you post your information from about:support?
Hi Grover, Strange, you can move in both ways the application in fullscreen mode? The issue is only in fullscreen. It doesn't work on my computer neither on my professional computer. I also tried on a clean profile with no extension at all. Here is the about:support got on the clean profile: http://tithom.fr/paste/aboutff.txt I forgot to say I have this issues in dualscreen (I didn't try with 3 screens).
I just test with 3 screens on a co-worker post (standard firefox 61). The application in fullscreen can move to the two secondary monitors and switch between the secondary monitors, but can't move back the main monitor.

Grover, would you be able to reproduce the issue with information from comment 2?
Ok. Gave it another go: I can reproduce on the following: Win 10x64 Version 62.0.3 Build ID 20181001155545 Version 63.0b11 Build ID 20181001131022
I cannot reproduce the issuw with the following specs: Win 10x64 Version 64.0a1 Build ID 20181004100222 Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:64.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/64.0

Interesting. WFM given this is no longer reproduced. Thanks.
Actually I think I found why the issue don't reproduce sometime. It's because the issue happen only when the firefow window is maximize when putting in fullscreen.

And funny things it's still the same behaviour on google chrome. Grover can you check again on firefox 64 with this new information? The Firefox Window need to be maximize before putting it in fullscreen to have the issue on firefox 63, perhaps it's the same on firefox 64.

Per Comment 10, you're right. I had it minimized when I made it fullscreen. It needs to be maximized for the issue to happen. Changed 64 to affected, and reopening. NI on Tim

The issue is gone, I'm not sure but I think the Windows version 1809 (also known as the famous October Update) fixed it...
I have the same version of Firefox at home and at work (65 beta). The problem is still present on my work computer, but it has disappeared simultaneously on both Firefox and Google chrome on my home computer, and I think it's matching the October update.
Btw I have got an idea to explain the bug, it's only a guess.
When we put the firefox window in fullscreen, then moving it to another screen with the shortcut, then exiting the fullscreen, the window return to the source monitor like it did not move. So the two windows (the normal and the fullscreen) are interpreted separately. Perhaps Windows considered the normal window behind the fullscreen Window always on the main monitor (even if the window was on the secondary monitor when putting fullscreen) + used the normal window by mistake to calculate the action of the shortcut, resulting into blocking the shortcut to return the fullscreen window on the main monitor. Or perhaps Windows simply interpreted bad the position of the fullscreen window...
Anyway the issue has disappeared even if this behaviour is still present (exiting fullscreen window make the window to return on its original monitor when the fullscreen was activated). The issue can probably be closed, hoping Windows won't break this again :)

It's still a problem on Windows 7, though, which is still supported.

Well, it's not the way I'd prefer to close it out, but Win7 isn't supported anymore — except in ESR, and this probably isn't severe enough to warrant a patch thereto. Closing as WORKSFORME per comment 13.
Anyway the issue has disappeared even if this behaviour is still present (exiting fullscreen window make the window to return on its original monitor when the fullscreen was activated)
This behavior was not related to the primary/secondary monitor distinction, and was fixed in bug 1776895.
